Poultry farm incomes squeeze as price deflation bites

Average poultry farm profits took a tumble last year as farmgate prices fell, but figures suggest businesses are still successfully improving productivity. The Farm Business Survey, undertaken by a consortium of UK universities, also recorded a drop in feed prices, further softening the blow of reduced egg and poultrymeat prices.
