The French organisation for the poultry industry, Anvol, wants the EU to scrap the new law on live animal transport. It also seeks an exemption from France’s Sunday and holiday lorry traffic ban for poultry transports, plus an increase in the maximum gross vehicle weight for lorries carrying animals or animal products to 33 tonnes.
