At the end of October, I launched a new experiment with day-old broiler breeder chicks. Due to the high costs of running controlled trials, I can only conduct a full-scale experiment every 3-4 years. In the meantime, I conduct research on commercial breeder farms, which also provides valuable insights — especially into how treatments perform under real-world conditions, which differ significantly from controlled experiments in small pens.
