Brazil boosts poultry exports despite Middle East conflict

Despite the escalation of conflict in the Middle East and the disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, Brazil managed to maintain export flows and increased global poultry exports in March. Brazilian exports rose by 6% in March 2026, reaching 504,300 tonnes. This compares with 476,000 tonnes in the same month last year, according to the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA).
