Plastic evaporative cooling pads do not cool in a similar way as paper based cooling pads. That is the conclusion of an extensive study comparing both systems in different environmental conditions. It shows reduced cooling, higher initial cost, and or the need for a significant number of interior fogging nozzles to increase cooling.
