As predicated, “bird flu” (Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza -HPAI) epidemics are back and spreading – particularly in the Far East during the current 2003/4 influenza season. In the northern hemisphere the flu season runs from approximately October to March, with some variation from year to year depending on climatic and other variations.
