A major investigation by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, a London-based non-profit organisation, has uncovered what it described as “significant regulatory failings” in Poland’s vast poultry sector, with nearly 1,000 large-scale farms potentially operating without the necessary environmental permits and under inadequate veterinary oversight.
