Confidence has been strong in the UK’s poultrymeat sector during 2018, with both broilers and turkeys showing steady expansion. Broiler producers have placed an extra 34m day-olds in the first eight months, according to latest DEFRA figures, compared with the same period of last year. Growth has continued in every month except August, achieving overall expansion of 5%.
