DSM-Firmenich Animal Nutrition & Health has released the results of the World Mycotoxin Survey from January to December 2025. In December 2025, a total of 25,626 samples were collected and analysed from 95 countries. The mycotoxin risks that threaten feed quality and animal performance globally vary across regions worldwide, with multiple kinds of mycotoxins often occurring together. The survey includes further details on trends in mycotoxin occurrence over the years, prevalence levels for each mycotoxin in each region, global and local risk levels, and risk levels posed to each species.
Novus is presenting research on the availability and efficacy of organic trace minerals in broiler diets at the 16èmes Journées de la Recherche Avicole et Palmipèdes à Foie Gras (JRA 2026), which is being held from 18-19 March in Tours, France. The first poster examines manganese in broiler nutrition, demonstrating that the mineral plays a critical role in normal bone development, metabolic pathways, antioxidant systems, immune organ function, and meat quality. A second poster features the results of a large-scale commercial field study, where optimised levels and forms of organic trace minerals and vitamins were evaluated for their impact on broiler performance and carcass characteristics.
