Chemicals in spray washers do not decontaminate

Decontamination of poultry carcasses is permitted in the EU since the beginning of this year. However, there is no decision yet on the chemicals that can be used. The effect of various chemicals show no result to reduce salmonella and campylobacter levels by means of spray washers.  This article can also be found at PPM, volume 2, no. 3
