In a broiler field study, 1% of soybean oil was replaced with black soldier fly oil. Growth performance of the the broilers, litter quality, welfare, carcass quality and slaughter yields were analysed. The world population is expected to reach 9.7 billion by 2050, leading to an increase in the demand for food and feed.
